KRISTINA T. BROOKS
Founder of CACAW Conflict Resolution Services, Kristina firmly believes that the majority of conflicts should be resolved by the parties and not by a judge. As a practicing attorney and litigator for over twenty years, she’s seen firsthand the long-term benefits reaped by parties who retain control over the conflict by using alternative conflict resolution tools.
Kristina brings her knowledge of the law, the legal process, and the challenges individuals face in the legal system to her conflict resolution practice. A team player by nature, she works with clients to find the best resolution while seeking to avoid the risks associated with costly litigation. She further offers a unique perspective by being able to offer insights from all sides of a conflict. Over the years, Kristina has represented individuals as a legal aid attorney, governmental agencies as a federal senior trial attorney, and employers as an Am Law 100 attorney.
She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding federal and state investigations, wage and hour, employee retirement and health, retaliation, whistleblower, employee relations, environmental, mine safety, and potential criminal issues that may arise in the workplace. Her work experiences uniquely qualify her to assist clients who are navigating disputes involving rapidly changing employment, safety and health, and environmental regulations.
